Julie Johnston notched her first international goal, Christen Press made a sensational solo run just before halftime and Hope Solo stopped a penalty kick Wednesday as the U.S. women’s national soccer team defeated France, 2-0, to win the Algarve Cup for the 10th time in the 24-year history of the Portuguese tournament.
