Italy national squad
Italy coach Antonio Conte continues his Azzurri revolution and could be set to call up Genoa centre back Sebastian De Maio as part of his next national team squad.
De Maio is French by birth but has played his entire senior football career in Italy and wheels are in motion for the Grifone defender to become a naturalised Italian with full citizenship.
According to La Stampa, there are still some bureaucratic loose ends that need to be settled before the player can officially receive the call to play for La Nazionale but that Conte is very keen to give De Maio his opportunity on the world stage.
